About the Role:
The Sales Operations Manager will oversee operational processes within the Sales department, ensuring efficiency and alignment with business objectives. This role involves managing the sales operations team, analyzing performance metrics, and collaborating effectively to support sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Process Management:
- Develop and implement operational processes to support the sales cycle, ensuring efficiency and consistency.
- Manage CRM systems and ensure accurate tracking of sales pipelines and performance metrics.
- Monitor adherence to sales processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze sales performance data and provide actionable insights to the sales leadership team.
- Prepare regular sales reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management using Microsoft Office tools.
- Utilize data to forecast trends and set sales quotas.
- Resource Optimization:
- Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources to maximize sales productivity.
- Work with IT and finance teams to ensure sales tools and technology are optimized.
- Sales Strategy & Planning:
- Assist in developing sales strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market conditions.
- Support annual and quarterly sales planning processes, helping to define targets and allocate resources accordingly.
- Collaboration & Coordination:
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure smooth execution of sales strategies.
- Facilitate collaboration across teams for report generation, proposal development, and coordination of sales efforts.
- Ensure that the sales operations team effectively collaborates with other departments to achieve common goals.
- Training & Development:
- Coordinate training programs for the sales team, focusing on tools, technology, and process improvements.
- Ensure continuous improvement through regular skills assessments and development opportunities.
Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in a sales or business development environment within the education technology sector or SaaS-based companies.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience working with enterprise-level sales teams.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales automation tools.
