About the Role: As a key member of our technology leadership, we’re seeking a skilled Ethical Hacker to assess and test the vulnerabilities in all components of the Academia ecosystem—including the Admin Portal, Student Portal, Faculty Portal, Teacher Portal, and Mobile Applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive security testing on Academia ERP platforms (web & mobile)
- Identify, document, and report vulnerabilities in the entire application ecosystem
- Simulate real-world attacks to uncover hidden risks and loopholes
- Collaborate with development teams to recommend secure coding practices
- Perform penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and source code analysis
- Assist in creating security awareness and best practices across tech teams
- Provide actionable insights aligned with OWASP, NIST, and other industry standards.
Education & Experience:
- Strong proficiency in web application and mobile security testing
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with tools like Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Kali Linux, and Metasploit
- Working knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and common threat vectors
- Experience in testing APIs, role-based access controls, and session management
- Familiarity with GDPR, ISO27001, and data protection protocols is a plus
- Ability to communicate findings clearly and recommend remediation steps
- Certifications such as CEH, OSCP, or comparable credentials are preferred
