Associate Vice President – Sales

About the Role:

We are looking for a strategic and results-oriented Associate Vice President – Sales to lead revenue growth for Academia by Serosoft across domestic and international markets.

The role will be responsible for driving customer acquisition, expanding market reach and strengthening Academia’s presence in the global education technology ecosystem. The ideal candidate will bring strong enterprise sales expertise, international market exposure and the ability to lead high-performing sales teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Business Growth

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth objectives across India and international markets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand Academia’s market presence globally.

Market Expansion

  • Lead market entry initiatives in new regions and strengthen positioning in existing markets.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor strategies and emerging opportunities in the EdTech and higher education technology sector.

Lead Generation & Pipeline Development

  • Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to generate high-quality leads and maintain a strong sales pipeline.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional leaders, decision-makers and strategic partners.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and long-term engagement.

Revenue Growth & Target Achievement

  • Drive consistent revenue growth by achieving and exceeding sales targets through strategic client engagement and consultative selling.

Sales Leadership & Team Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team.
  • Establish clear sales processes, performance metrics, and training initiatives to maximize team productivity.

Forecasting & Strategic Reporting

  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline analysis, and market insights to leadership for strategic decision-making.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, product, and implementation teams to align go-to-market strategies and deliver a seamless customer experience.

Client & Partner Engagement

  • Travel for meetings with clients, partners, and stakeholders to strengthen relationships and support business development initiatives.

Education & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise sales, preferably in EdTech, SaaS, or enterprise software solutions.
  • Experience selling ERP, SaaS platforms, or digital transformation solutions.
  • Experience in international business development or global markets will be an advantage.
