About the Role: India’s leading Educational ERP Software company, a Deloitte Fast 50 Company and ET Growth Champion Serosoft is looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer with deep expertise in Manual and Automation testing. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience, including team handling responsibilities, and a strong command over Java programming, API testing, database queries, and automation tools like Selenium.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the QA efforts across the SDLC, including test strategy, planning, scripting, execution, and reporting.
- Mentor and manage a team of 4–5 QA Engineers, ensuring best practices in testing and timely deliverables.
- Design and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java (Advanced) and Selenium WebDriver.
- Perform comprehensive API testing using Postman or through backend Java code.
- Write and execute SQL queries for medium to complex database validations.
- Review requirement documents and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create effective test scenarios and test cases.
- Own and execute end-to-end manual and automated test cycles, including regression and smoke tests.
- Log and track bugs using JIRA or similar tools, and ensure timely resolution with developers.
- Support CI/CD integration of automation tests and provide test reports regularly.
Education & Experience:
- 7 + years of experience in Software Testing (Manual + Automation).
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- ISTQB or other relevant certifications (preferred but not mandatory).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, etc.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
Skills & Competencies:
- Hands-on Java programming (Advanced level).
- Expertise in Selenium WebDriver automation with Java.
- Strong experience in API testing using Postman and/or code-based methods.
- Proficiency in SQL and database validation queries.
- Demonstrated experience in test execution from scratch in Agile environments.
- Team handling experience – should have led or managed a team of 4–5 QA professionals.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
