About the Role
As a Sr. Software Engineer (Java), you will design, develop and maintain scalable software applications. You’ll work on cutting-edge technologies, solve challenging problems and contribute to building a world-class SaaS product that makes an impact on education globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement robust, scalable and secure software applications using Java technologies.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Write clean, efficient and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct unit testing, debugging and performance optimization to ensure product quality.
- Participate actively in peer code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Research and adopt new tools/technologies to continuously improve product performance and scalability.
- Contribute to technical documentation including software designs, specifications and user guides.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
- 0–2 years of hands-on Java development experience (projects, internships, or industry).
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of Core Java, OOPs and Data Structures & Algorithms.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate.
- Understanding of REST APIs, Servlets, JSP and web application development.
- Knowledge of Databases (MySQL/SQL) and query optimization.
- Exposure to Git, Maven/Gradle, and Agile methodologies.
Desirable Skills
- Awareness of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar).
- Interest in SaaS, EdTech, or large-scale product development.
